Tyre pressure monitoring systems (TPMS) alerts the driver if a tyre is significantly under inflated. Typically, the alert is triggered when a tyre pressure sensor detect that a tyre has deflated by 25% or more and lets the driver know via a light on the dashboard.
There are two types of Tyre pressure monitoring systems, direct TPMS and indirect TPMS. Direct TPMS uses pressure sensor transmitters attached to the rim, tyre or tyre valve to inform the vehicles on board computer of the accurate pressure. The indirect TPMS uses the vehicles ABS system to approximate the tyre pressure.
At Autosessive we sell all types from market leaders such as Schrader, an innovator of TPMS and tyre pressure sensors since their conception. Autosessive also stocks a wide range of tyre accessories covering weights and tyre repair patches.
