Q I have ABS problems with a Mercedes Benz 190E. When I measure the resistance of the sensors, should the three sensors (two in the front and one at the rear) have roughly the same value or does the single rear one have its own value? I hope that makes sense.
A That makes perfect sense. As the rear sensor connects to the rear axle and not the individual hubs, does this have a different value? The answer is no: the given resistance in the sensor should be the same as that of the two front sensors. The value should be 850-1500ohm for all three sensors. To test the sensors, they should be disconnected from the ECU.
